Why should you use Dr. Dispatch 2-Way for your programming needs?

After Chuck’s time with both OEM companies, in 1992 he moved from Texas to Missouri for a radio-technician position for a previous Uniden supervisor’s new business. The ex-supervisor had installed a new Uniden 800 MHz SMR (Specialized Mobile Radio) radio repeater system and was needing support for his new found customers.

A couple years later, Chuck accepted a Service Manager position to start a service shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There he got more into programming both 800 MHz Motorola Type I Privacy Plus radios and a variety of Johnson LTR (Logic Trunked Radio) type radios. (Kenwood, Standard, Uniden, etc…)

That company sold out and Chuck started his first business, Dr. Dispatch in 1996. During that time, he gained SMR service provider customers from 5 different states, sending him their customer’s radios in for service and trusted him with the individual programming of those radios. Chuck sold Dr. Dispatch in 2000 to a Motorola MSS out of Arizona.

From 2001 to present Chuck has been also programming GPS type equipment for asset management and vehicle tracking.

In the summer of 2014, Chuck accepted a radio installation position with a state government in the Southwest. After settling in at his new position, he found the public safety customers stopping by and requesting particular custom programs to cover the districts they were just assigned to.

After a contractor was on their second 6 month extension to build a State-wide and Chuck was assigned to be a liaison. To aid the company, Chuck compared and compiled the programs, validating the info and completed a variety of Conventional VHF State-Wide code plugs. As the contractor was about to request a 3rd extension, Chuck knocked out the entire codeplug on a 3-day weekend. These code plugs were implemented in all districts across the state.

Chuck also built templates for other agencies, such as State Parks, State Parks Law Enforcement, Game and Fish-Biologist, Game and Fish Law Enforcement, Parole and Probation, the Highway Department and more.

Prior to moving on from the radio installer position after 6 years, Chuck built multiple portable and mobile radio templates for the new State-Wide conventional VHF/UHF/700 MHz Conventional including 700 MHz Trunked systems on one Code Plug, then the break down of those bands for a variety of different models.

The templates are able to be customized by authorized personnel, easy to locate channels when updates are needed and he also included documentation for each of those templates to help the employees better navigate through their new communications equipment.

Also, since 2004, Chuck has donated his time and experience to support an auxiliary Volunteer Law Enforcement troop in the state with communications issues. He recently built a 200 channel program for their new UHF/VHF portable radios.
